Website Creation, File Hosting, Graphic Design, Audio Manipulation & Advertising

Metzae.net is now ten years old!

I registered Metzae.net a decade ago right after adopting the screen name Metzae. Since then, it has grown into a large network of websites that cover everything from photos to politics to profanity. It is one of the most unique websites I’ve ever created and is full of things to discover. Some of them are obvious and some are intentionally hard to find. Though the website doesn’t follow the schemes of most other websites (especially since the evolution of social networks), it does have a specific purpose. It is digital art, a virtual exhibit and experiment all in one. If you decide to look through it, there’s only one thing I can tell you: look closer.

Housecleaning

I’ve been more focused on my other jobs and my clients websites, and have let the main site age a bit. So, I cleaned it up and polished a few things to make things nicer. Websites are like plants. If you neglect them, they slowly wither and die. Just consider me your digital gardener.

Symphoniacal: Sound Occupies Space

If you’ve never heard Symphoniacal all the way through, there has never been a better time to give it a listen. Even if you have heard it before, it’d be worth it to listen again. I’ve changed, added, and deleted so much that many sections are completely different, and now it’s a whole new monster.

I’ve put a lot of time, energy, love, and obsession into this project over the past few years, and I hope you enjoy the hell out of it.

Go to the download page right now to get Symphoniacal!

Please use BitTorrent (if you can) to help save bandwidth. If you don’t know what BitTorrent is or you can’t use it on your computer, don’t worry…you can always download the file the old school way.

Upload Your POP Email to Gmail

I held onto my old backups of emails from the days when I used Outlook and then converted to Thunderbird. The files sat on my desktop for more than a year, just waiting for me to do something with them. Well, I’ve finally found a site that will upload your “mbox” files (your POP email backup files) and mail them to your Gmail account. Bam! Instant, permanent backup. FREE!

http://gmailuploader.com/

There’s one trick to it, though, and I’m sure they’ll fix it eventually. It uses javascript and cookies, so make sure you refresh the site (by going to http://gmailuploader.com again) before you try to upload another file.
